What does an installation supervisor do?

 

It is the installation manager that is responsible for the progress and the success of the daily tasks of the project, together with the workforce. He supports and gives directions to the contractors to achieve the objectives set.

When is installation supervision needed?

 

In many industries there are regular shutdowns of production to maintain and install new machinery. The development of production technology and changes in the laws also has an impact on production plants. Installation supervisors also follow, direct and develop maintenance programs and routines.

 

Additionally, duties often include bidding and contract negotiations as well as managing contracts. The permanent employees don't necessarily have the time or needed skills for these operations.
